Airbnb recently created a new means of distinguishing top listings on the platform, and we are pleased to announce that we've been awarded the distinction of being in the Top 1% of Airbnb listings.
It's exciting news for us. Any distinction to sharpen our edge amongst other listings on Airbnb is welcome. Achieving Super Host was an exciting goal to reach, and being deemed a Guest Favorite was a welcome surprise, but being identified as a top all-around performer is surreal, and we're grateful that our hard work and dedication to quality experiences has made this possible.
Airbnb's new distinction identifies listings in the Top 10% , 5%, and 1% of listings. We know this isn't the Olympics, but we feel like this a gold medal on the Airbnb platform. Cue an anthem.
According to Airbnb, this new distinction is not only to identify top performers, but also low performers in the community of listings. "We’ll also show guests when a listing is in the bottom 10% of eligible listings. A bottom 10% highlight appears above the reviews."
So how do they determine the highest performers and the lowest performers? According to Airbnb:
"The highlight is updated regularly using various factors, including:
Overall star ratings and feedback in guest reviews
Subcategory ratings for check-in, cleanliness, accuracy, Host communication, location, and value
Host cancellation rates
Quality-related issues reported to Airbnb Community Support"

Here's a close up of the trophy now displayed on our listing, but you're welcome to check it out for yourself via this link to our Airbnb listing.
We're eager to see if this new distinction has any impact on our bookings.
